Dear Deanna, and Tim,

Greetings from Las Vegas! We have just finished watching the final episode of Pioneer Quest, and enjoyed it immensely. I grew up on the praries in Alberta, in Lloydminster. My maternal grand-parents homesteaded south of Islay, Alberta in the early part of the 20th century, and many of my relatives are still farming in the same area today. I had heard stories of what life was like homesteading, but it really took your adventure to really bring it home. More importantly it gave my daughter a window into the past, and a greater appreciation for what her ancestors had accomplished.

Well my only question is, if you could have taken one modern convience back to the 1870's, what would it have been?

My personal choice would have been a washing machine.
