Otawa Valley
Hello Tim & Deanna,

Totally enjoyed your series.Thank you for sharing the experience.
Enclosed photo shows the original log cabin built by my great-grandfather after his walk from Quebec City to the Ottawa Valley, after a tough crossing from Ireland.Surprisingly, both he and his horse survived the voyage, not to mention the "walk"!
Building in the background is his "house" as it looks today.Great-Grandma arrived in Canada to the splendor of this house... no log cabin for her!
Still in the Family four generations later, we hope to "restore" the cabin in the near future. It has served as the Farm's granary for many decades.
Would love some info on your series theme song.I am learning to play my (maternal) grandfather's violin and since he also was of Irish heritage, and a blacksmith, was very much involved in the pioneer experience. Any leads re: the availability of sheet music would be very much appreciated.

Regards, Bill McNamara
Eganville,On.
